Porcelain

In 2000 and 2001 Jane Holmberg developed her own dyed porcelain. She works with colors cast in layers to enhance the sharp yet simple details of the casting.

The process is comprehensive and demands precision and careful handling. Porcelain, also known as “the white gold” is appreciated for being white and translucent.

When dying with oxides and ceramic color pigments, the whiteness of porcelain makes it a remarkable material.
